How the airport taxi pickup works
Book online with your flight number and address. You get a confirmation by e-mail and, the evening before, the driver's name and phone number. After landing, walk through to the arrivals hall: the driver is standing there with a sign. From the terminal to Ban Jelačić Square takes about 25 minutes outside rush hour.
If the flight is delayed, you do not need to call anyone. We watch the arrival time and the driver comes when you actually land. If you cannot find each other, you have the driver's mobile number and a WhatsApp line that answers within minutes.
Taxi rank vs. pre-booked car at Zagreb Airport
The official taxi rank is outside the terminal and works on a meter. Daytime fares to the center are usually €25–40; at night, on Sundays and public holidays a higher tariff applies, and the fare depends on traffic. Ride-hailing apps are available but surge at peak times and the pickup point is a short walk from the terminal.
A pre-booked car costs €40 regardless of time, traffic or date, the driver comes to you inside, and the vehicle size is matched to your group and luggage. For 4 or more people, or anyone with several suitcases, the van at €55 is cheaper per person than two taxis.

Return trip: Zagreb center to the airport
The same price applies from any address in Zagreb to the airport: €40 by car, €55 by van. Pickups are available 24 hours a day. For morning flights we recommend leaving the center 2 hours before departure for Schengen flights and 2.5 hours for others; the drive itself is 20–30 minutes.
